Should I Wear My Glasses in My Headshot Photo?

You want to make sure that your headshot photo represents you realistically. One of the worse things that you can do is pull a 'bait and switch' on a potential client or interviewer.  By that I mean you look one way in your photo and then significantly different in person!

One thing that comes to mind is glasses. The difference in the way one looks with and without their glasses is sometimes dramatic. It can sometimes look like a different person - some more than others. If you wear glasses most/all of the time, you will want to wear them in your headshot photo too. Any concerns you may have about glare is up to the photographer to worry about.  There are techniques that can be used at the time of the photoshoot, which is the best option, and then of course a skilled photographer or retoucher can reduce or eliminate glare in post-processing. Overall, be sure you look the way you look and don't pull the bait and switch!
